Probably a good question for 12 years from now.

I don't know where Doug will fall but outside of the top 5 I don't think I could put him ahead of Dave Stallworth either.

Dave got screwed in a way because he only played 8 games his freshman season and 16 his senior season. Something to do with freshman not playing in the 60's. So he missed out on going to the final four his senior year as he was only allowed to play one semester.

24.2 pts/10.5 rebs for his career. 1st team all-american as a junior, 2nd team all-american as a senior. 3 time first team MVC.

Scored 40 or more 4 times in his career including 46 against then #1 Cincy in 1963.

hmmmm....Walt Frazier was from SIU.....Lewis Lloyd....Xavier McD......

I think the next two years also will be informative as it seems many that stand out as Valley players find it more competitive as Valley teams "figure them out" and learn to play against them better.

He is definately a top competitor when it comes to "basketball sense" , that may be his best asset.

Better question...is he already the best player in Bluejay history? If so, then we can start talking top 10 in the MVC.

12 from just the current members. If you count former members, it goes way up.

Yeah it really depends if you want to count former members, then the list is huge. Also, it depends if you want to count guys like Doug Collins or Walt Frazier who were AA's at current MVC schools that weren't in the MVC at the times that they played there.

Either way, there are some incredible players on the list.

Okay, okay, okay, o... wait, what? But... nevermind. :+1:
Our last five are still collectively better than your starting lineup.
