Can Doug McDermott win the Naismith Player of the Year?

I don't think his rebounding is as important as CU's record. If we avoid missteps in Valley play (ie, go something like 15-3 or 16-2 which is very difficult IMO), he has a good chance. Worse than that and our ranking will tank and POY will be an afterthought.

I think he can, but CU will have to make it to the sweet 16 and Doug will have to put up decent numbers in the ncaa tourney.

There is a strong mutual benefit shared by Grant's passing and Doug's scoring efficiency. Neither player would be statistically as good without the other. It's always good to have a couple of players that make the team better.
