I think this is why we have seen the CAA's and A-10's leave this event. The MVC was just a little late on realizing this issue

Actually, it's why the A-10 never was in it to begin with. CAA did get kicked out.

The real problem was Gonzaga abandoning so quickly from the event, and ESPN/WCC letting them while other WCC members continued on.

Also some terrible breaks, at least this year. Louisiana Tech is sitting on a 19-3 record, undefeated in the WAC, but for some reason, they're not joining their WAC bretheren this year in it. MTSU is sitting on 20 wins and a top 40 RPI, but for some reason the Sun Belt abandoned the competition. Both Lehigh and Bucknell have decent profiles that could've helped InSU among others, but the Patriot skipped this year. Heck, adding those 4 alone probabaly solves A LOT of problems this year.

Sorry, some of those new A-10 faces that I remember participating in the past as part of the CAA and others mixed me up. Conferences are getting hard to follow
[Insert snappy comeback]

NDSU is not happy with going to Akron, they wanted a MVC team.

in fact, the MVC avoided the top 4 summit teams in this bracketbuster, thankfully its dead now.

Another reason I'm glad it's over: you alluded to it...the MVC whether by design or not, became Goliath in this event, and everyone's target. It was kind of a dangerous position for us, only because the spirit of the competition wasn't to make it MVC All-Stars vs. The World....which it kind of became. CU, WSU, and InSU have 3 of the best 5 profiles in the event.

He saw evidence of this in a sealed envelope....strangely this envelope was stamped with "C-USA", not sure what this means.

That's funny because I know our AD at UNI was extremely interested in getting one of the Dakota schools, for the simple fact that the return trip would have been extremely cheap and a near certain win...

yeah right, MVC teams were so scared of the lowly S(C)ummit league teams.

Indiana State coach Greg Lansing said he sent a list of his requests to the conference office, which works in conjunction with ESPN programming to put together matchups. Lansing said he'd like to see the Sycamores against Detroit (78 RPI), North Dakota State (62) or South Dakota State (64), which speaks volumes about the pool this year.

I would guess it was the other way around, the Mid-Continent teams were avoiding the MVC teams.

Go back to whatever hole you crawled out of wakes
