Funny parallel of the day?

WSU's longest streak in between NCAA tournament appearances was 18 years... from 1988 to 2006.
ISU's longest streak in between NCAA tournament appearances currently sits at 18 years... from 1998 to 2016...

Is this the year we get back to the big dance with a win in the MVC tourney?
Could this, along with some dynamic freshmen and sophomores lead to a few years of postseason runs from ISU?

We already know we can bang with the best of them. We shall see...

I wouldn't go celebrating the end of WSU yet ....

Relax... just having some fun. Next year will be interesting though without FVV and Baker. Good recruits coming in, but tough to replace AA's, especially at the point.

Agreed. The keys will be how well the 2 players that have been with the team this year but haven't played much (or at all) do. Shamet and Allen will have to be huge next year. Shamet, Frankamp, Allen and possible Smith (JC transfer), and Keyser (will be a true Freshemen) are a capable backcourt, but they aren't FVV or Baker yet.

I'm hoping WIllis (JC Transfer) can step in and replace Grady, though Morris should get the majority of the minutes.

I think Kelly will do just fine filling in for Wessel.

I'm just thankful our fans were polished enough to not be dropping BACK2BACK2BACK2BACK2BACK2BACK2BACK hashtags on schools like Illinois State prior to last March.

Perspective.

This much is true!!!

What's the Wichita schedule look like for next year with return games, etc. Scheduling just as tough or preparing for a rough transition year?

Probably going to be tough. The big ones I know of are that we play Oklahoma @OKC (return game to Intrust in 2017), and then the Battle for Atlantis Tournament. Possible Opponents are Michigan State, Louisville, Baylor, LSU, VCU, St. John, and Old Dominion. I'm not for sure if any of our H&Hs got extended (Utah, Seton Hall). I know we play Tulsa again.

If you get the chance to go to Atlantis... jump on it. I didn't attend with the Birds when we went south, but the wife and I took a company sponsored trip down there. Loved it. Probably the 2nd best trip I've been on with the company outside of Rome.

Just big enough that you're not constantly running into people, but small enough where you don't have to hike it everywhere. Was a good vacation.

I was hoping to, but with it being over Thanksgiving, the prices are a little ridiculous for me.

You know the whole calling out fan bases for showing up on here in greater numbers after a big win is kind of ridiculous. ALL fan bases do that because it is simply human nature. Even WSU as good as they are - there are far fewer Shox fans posting on MVC fans after a loss than after a win.

I don't care what fanbase you are, WSU or not, you're a bandwagoner when you only show up in times of good. And it doesn't have to be that way. You're a perfect example of that, showing up no matter what. I would call you a true fan.

redbirdgrad would be the purest example of a bandwagon fan. He acts like he now owns the joint after ISU's Super Bowl effort on Saturday. Where was all of this basketball talk before then? Comes off as weak, insecure, and bandieish.

That's why I look forward to the action around here after Thursday night. Things will mysteriously go quiet again.
