That seems like a stretch for a DBO... I can't imagine the news would be much of a distraction for the Jayhawks.

You could be right. But Hinson is a pretty personable guy. If he's built some relationships with several of those players I could see it being at least a little problematic. Maybe enough that Self thought it wasn't worth the risk.

Just guessing of course. Could be totally wrong.

Really? Just how would the team get to New Orleans, where would they stay, and what would they eat without Barry?

If Coach Weber is hired, I cannot image that he would keep Coach Lowery on as an assistant.

Two reasons:

1. Coach Lowery is a poor recruiter.
2. Coach Lowery will probably have a submerged resentment, which could lead to problems.
