AJ's suspension is related to the May incident. He was not charged with anything because the police work was a disaster at best- bad enough that they sealed the report as to not disparage the involved parties. they really messed some stuff up.

however, he was guilty of bad judgement and violating some team rules so Coach Jake- despite the legal matter being closed- considered it an internal violation of the code of conduct which is a mandatory suspension of 10% of the season- 3 games. exhibitions DO NOT count. the schedule just worked out so his back for the bahamas.

a coach could have easily swept this under the rug or counted exhibitions towards the penalty, but Jake did not. he is 100% class and leadership and its clear why UNI not only graduates a high percentage of their players but why he continues to kill it on the recruiting trail.

He stole a bike and was in possession of weed. Charges were not filed because the cops didn't know how to establish probable cause even though they had a victim and witness. Seems kinda shady but happens all the time.

While I don't think negatively of BJ for the three game suspension and not sweeping it under the rug, I would say he shouldn't be praised. What he did is the standard and MINIMUM expectation for such an offense IMO.

Sounds sorta State College, Pennsylvania-ish. Are the local Waterloo/CF police in the pocket of UNI?

If I read the warrant correct it was the Campus police.

I'll take that as a 'yes'.

According to Coach Jacobson, AJ has been working very hard with extra workouts and practices since the incident to remain in good standing.
