Seems like a pretty big deal to me.

Yes.

Hell, I have one from a UNI/ISUr football game in the dome a couple years ago...

Remember the win against Iowa? That's how they promoted it?

Anyways, cool.

Look, I know I ruffled feathers with the flop comments. I didn't think it would cause the stir it did. That said, UNI has an outstanding team this year. I like their balance of having good solid dependable back court and front court. That balance can carry a team a long way, as WSU has seen in recent years. The bench is strong and dependable as well. UNI is worthy of all (rankings, media, fans) discussion. I could care less about Super Bowls, or any other perceived reference to our game against them. We got pounded by the better team on Saturday. Although I want to hand them their heads on Feb. 28 at the Chuck, lunch pails will be needed in order to win. I wish them luck till the 28th, when they will be the anti-Christ as far as I'm concerned.
:D

They have made framed prints like this for about two dozen UNI football and basketball games in the past 10 years.

Huh?

That's the second time "butt hurt" was dropped in the thread within several hours. Is there something that we need to know about regarding Panther fans or is this better left unsaid?

The UNI-Iowa game in the UNIDome was a statewide event. Almost 23,000 in the Dome. I believe that Iowa Public TV broadcast that game. This was back in the day when Iowa was the program in the state under Tom Davis. They were ranked 20th entering the game, but collapsed for the remainder of the year after the loss to UNI.

It was also our first year of going to NCAA (and beating #3 Missouri in opening game). I think I still have a VHS tape of that game somewhere, as my parents sent it to me while I was out of the country that year.

And no, they didn't promote it on twitter that year.

Against ISUr this year, there was a play in the first half where Tony Wills drove in from the left wing with Ron guarding him on his left. I believe tony made a floater and baker grabbed near his throat. He motioned towards Marshall and Marshall asked for a review. Upon review there was no contact near the throat and no foul was given.

It's these items, in my opinion, that have given him that stereotype in ISUr minds. I know Marshall teaches his guys to let him know if they feel they got hit above the shoulders. If they truly did, I have no problem with asking for a review unless it comes within a normal basketball move.

I think the point in question actually takes place at 10:15 of the 1st half. Baker gets hit in the throat off of a fast break. His reaction is pretty clear there was contact. I don't think the play got reviewed though.

Congrats to UNI. They played a strong game and were definitely the better team on Saturday.

I would not have thought a cool panoramic shot of the McLeod Center in the first meeting between two ranked Valley teams in over 32 years would be subject to mocking from WSU, but I guess I would be wrong.

Some dont seem to be taking the loss well.
