^^^ Ok its LATE in the season, does RPI matter now? NDSU is 18-6, I myself want NDSU in a FBS football conference, but with NDSU's 43 million dollar arena coming on in 2015, I want to know WHY Missouri Valley wouldnt benefit from adding NDSU/SDSU.

RPI's
6 6 Wichita St. Missouri Valley 25-0 9-0 2- 0 13-0 1-0
48 51 North Dakota St. Summit 18-6 8-5 1- 0 6-1 3-0
55 56 Indiana St. Missouri Valley 18-6 7-4 1- 1 8-1 2-0
103 96 Missouri St. Missouri Valley 16-8 4-6 1- 1 10-1 1-0
124 113 UNI Missouri Valley 11-13 1-9 2- 2 7-2 1-0
125 108 Illinois St. Missouri Valley 13-11 3-7 0- 1 9-3 1-0
129 129 IPFW Summit 18-8 5-7 2- 0 8-1 3-0
168 181 South Dakota St. Summit 14-10 5-6 0- 1 6-3 3-0
171 150 Drake Missouri Valley 12-12 4-6 2- 1 5-5 1-0
207 216 Oral Roberts Southland 12-12 1-8 2- 0 5-4 4-0
226 254 Southern Ill. Missouri Valley 10-15 2-8 1- 2 6-5 1-0

because no one other than you wants your teams in the missouri valley. If the league wanted those teams they would have offered them a bid but they didn't move on, and get over the fact that you will probably always be a summit league team and nothing more.

The SEC is the most powerful conference in college athletics, and most of the states they're in are irrelevant to most of the country.

If it was entirely about location, northeastern areas would be dominating college athletics.

A lot of it is location. Talent also matters. People cheer for winners ... even if they're in Boise, Idaho.

I'd be good with NDSU if they were a program that was winning enough to ignore their geographic disadvantage. They aren't, though.

the difference though is $$, BCS conferences have $$ to be able to travel all over, with all their teams, non BCS conferences prefer to stay close together geographically to make travel easier.

NDSU finishes season 23-6 RPI of 40. Ranked #4 mid major, starts new arena now ($46mill). Would easily be the #2 team in the mvc this year, what more do you guys want from us before we are added?

Population is highest rate in USA, lowest unemployment, 100,000 barrels of oil a day, will be top 100 DMA for media soon.

NDSU plats mon & Tuesday night on FCS & ESPN

NDSU basketball is ready with exposure and $44 million arena
NDSU Softball beat Auburn
NDSU baseball lost 2-1 to #1 oregon state in ncaa tourney
NDSU track sends 5 to National's
NDSU wrestler got #2 in nation

NDSU is ready and would compete in MVC day 1, lets go!

Geographically they are not a great fit, but I have no doubt they would compete in most sports in the Valley from day 1. Their basketball program would get a great push from having the Valley patch on their sleeve too.

I don't pretend to be an expert when it comes to thinks like television, tv markets, and conference footprints but NDSU can sure compete athletically.
