As of now it has to be...

WSU
ISUr
MSU
(together)

WSU has not shown separation from the other two yet. Tight road win versus Indy St and blowout against our 2nd worse team in the league at home.

The rest I can see based on the first two games of the season. ISUb is a major wild card still.

Have you watched the Shox play? To put ISUr and MSU with them right now is a real stretch.

Yes I have seen them play multiple times this year. Beating the sh** out of you guys does not mean much, sorry.

And they are the favorites, but you can't separate them....yet.

I would say you can't put the other two in the same category...yet.

KenPom agrees with you (WSU - 25; ISUr 54; MSU 102).

WSU, MSU and ISUr all had solid but unspectacular non-con seasons. Zero signature wins with a few bad losses. All three started out 2-0. A lot of pitfalls (road games against top 200 RPI teams) will show if there is any separation.

I honestly don't see how Wichita doesn't go 17-1 this year.

I think they'll win the conference. But I don't see only 1 loss. I think they will lose several on the road.

I can see losses at ISU and MSU ...not sure who else.

Not that past performance is an indication of future performance, but WSU is 0-3 against top 50 RPI, two neutral, one home. WSU is 0-0 against 50-100. WSU is 4-0 (2 h, 1 A, 1N) against 100-150 and 2-0 (1h, 1a) against 150-200. UE and MSU fall into the 100-150 category where WSU is 4-0. ISUr falls into the 50-100 (untested). Three teams are above 200, and three teams are between 150-200, one of which the Shockers have already beat on the road.

To add to it, UE and MSU are 1-5 vs the top 100 and ISUr is 2-1. The best win of those three is Boise St at home, with an expected RPI of 71 vs the Shockers expected RPI below 50.

Based on the current make up of the MVC, anything less than 15-3 would be disappointing.
