Fantastic job Aces on taking down the UT-Martin Seahawks and earning your way toward a CIT championship...VERY cool 8-)

Go get 'em Aces....bring home a CIT championship and do the MVC proud!

Great job Aces! It makes you wonder if they could have been in the NIT with the right schedule.

With a new AD who has an actual AD background from Oregon St. with PAC12 contacts instead of a finance banker by trade I have high hopes that our OOC will improve.

I have a feeling we will win the CIT.

But that still does not give me a good feeling about the progress of this team and the future of Evansville basketball. Next year will be like any other year:

Weak OOC schedule with a lot of wins.
Aces fans predicting a dark horse.

Valley play starts and UE under-performs as usual; .500-.650 with a Friday night loss in STL.
Aces fans in the dumps.

Play in the CBI/CIT and win it again.
Aces fans somehow content.

I see Balentine played 40 minutes again. Mock had 4 points.

Keep building for the future.

Not sure what is going on with Mock. He has underperformed for at least a month now. Had a monster game against EIU in the CIT, but against most every other CIT team, and the last 4 Valley games, he has not shown much. He has rebounded fairly well, but his offense has been way off. His future as a pro will be overseas, not in the NBA. As for next year, who knows. A lot of rumors from people who don't know what they are talking about, but nothing official about him going back home after the season.

DJ, is a Junior, so he is the future. The entire team other than JayMo, is next year's UE basketball team.
DJ, is shooting over 65% from the field (42-70) and almost as good from three (18-30).
If he or any player is hitting shots at that clip, why take them from the game(s)?
I've complained and posted on PAfans, while watching The ACES games on the computer, that DJ should be sat down several times. But, when he's on putting up these kinds of numbers, I say, "let him fire it up as soon as he cross the mid court line".
JayMo has played exceptional, when he's seen the floor, during The CIT. He's The ACES only Senior, so if he gets more minutes than usual, I'm all for it.
In Lafayette, EMO was in foul trouble.
He was 15 and 10 against IPFW.
Eastern Illinois his number's were 21 and 16.
Last night he couldn't have been any closer a few times and his shot's were way off the mark. I've always thought and said EMO should try to plunge the ball down on anyone that tries to get in his way on the way to the basket. Last night was a perfect example of that.
I and perhaps many ACES fans know and understand, a CIT Crown might be like kissing your Sister.
And, I'm not trying to make any excuses for the regular season or say, should won this game or that. I will say the month of Feb, was detrimental to The ACES playing in either of the two post season tournaments. The went 3-7, including St Louis, to close the season.
EMO missed 2 games.
Wing missed 6
Mislav missed three and I feel was brought back WAY too soon.
The CIT, is the first time they've all been healthy at the same time and are playing together again.
And, they're still playing, this season...and they will all be back playing together again, next year too.

just read the postgame article on espn from the NAU-NJIT game last night, impressive crowd of over 5500 at the game for NAU, but they're calling this win the "biggest win in school history", really?? That doesn't say too much for NAU when they're biggest win ever is over an NJIT team to get to the finals of the CIT, LOL

Look at their school history. They have two NCAA appearances and are 0-2. Last appearance was in 2000. Don't appear to have ever been in the NIT.

This is a justifiable opinion.

UNA, played in The NIT three times.
86,97, & 2006.
However, never in any postseason (NCAA or NIT) have they won a game. So, these wins are certainly the most impressive, for them to date.
