Practice starts today, so we can finally start talking about the season and not only in the future tense. Jerry Palm posted his Bracketology predictions on CBS.

Is this just Jerrys sly little way of saying that if Creighton is the auto qualifier then the MVC is a one bidder again?

Lunardi currently has Creighton as a 4 seed playing Belmont. Wichita State as a 9 seed playing Louisville. Both UNI and Missouri State among the next 8 teams off the bracket for the moment.

edit: if you have insider, you'll see that he has UNI with a 20% chance of making the field and Missouri State with a 15% chance.

If I could choose, I would almost rather be a #10 and have a chance of playing KU in the second round. But with WSU only making the tournament once every couple of decades, beggers can't be choosers.

Gonzaga, Oral Roberts, Creighton and Belmont in a pod.

I could see the NCAA doing that to keep the little kids in the baby pool. Then again, they would be guaranteeing a non-BcS team in the Sweet 16. They probably don't want too many Cinderella's getting deep.

To have any chance, I said a while back we needed to get at least 3 wins against CU and WSU. That means we must win tonight and then still have more to do. RPI will keep us in the discussion but we need to win these games to make the case.

At this point, barring CU and WSU meltdowns, this is a two bid league short of someone else winning Arch Madness...period.

Agreed which is unfortunate the way league play has gone, UNI, ISUB and MSU to some extent have not lived up to expectations on valley play. League deserves more than two bids but can't argue with 2 bids at this point.
