5 premature ramblings after 1 MVC game

Just a few of my thoughts after seeing the initial Valley game for each team. First off, the Valley isn't going to get four bids. I liked what I saw a couple of weeks ago, but reality has set in for me and I think we are a 2 (maybe 3) bid league.

Please keep predicting losses for Drake. Our guy Rice should be first team AC this year.

Rice was my first pick in the MVC fantasy draft, so you know I'll be cheering for him too.

You say SIU is awful and it's hard to disagree, but who is worse, SIU or Bradley? Are the Shockers really that good or did BU just have an off night? I guess we'll find out on the 4th.

Is the Jury still out on UE? I would say that the first 10 days of January will provide a great clue. On the road for 3 games UNI 1-1 Illinois State on the 7th,then off to Terra Haute on the 10th for the Trees. WSU comes to town on the 4th. If they can put the 2 halves together, 2nd at Miami Oh and 1st with the Ugly Dawgs, they score a hundred for the game and win by 20. UE is looking better but have they predicted MOJO for a top finisher in the MVC. I think 10 days will tell alot about this team.

After 3 of the top 4 teams lose to teams they probably shouldn't have, 2 -3 bids sounds about right. Committee isn't going to do us any favors..

Jury has a verdict on Evansville and won't need to wait for 3+ games. They are a mid pack tem.
