It was a CU fan that made the recent statement that CU players NEVER flop?? I don't see that as a backhanded compliment? If you are going to make an asinine statement like that then expect to be called on it.

But I disagree with jwa saying he was losing respect for McD. All teams and most players "exaggerate contact" trying to draw a foul at times. It's just an unfortunate part of the game. Since it works so much of the time it's a smart basketball play. It's not admirable but it is smart.

This was one of the most exciting games I have seen this year. Bluejays made a heck of a play to pull it off.
I couldn't believe after the game ESPN analysts were saying Long Beach State could be on the bubble.
It looked to me either team last night would totally destroy some mid-pack Big-10 teams.

Showed a lot of team effort on Creightons part and great fan support.

Thats the life of a mid-major. The "eye-test" is always used to justify putting in the 18-11 Big 10 team over the 24-5 mid-major but when the "eye-test" reverses and Long Beach St. clearly passes the eye test and teams like Washington and UConn don't, they act like the "eye-test" shouldn't even exist.
Thoughts and prayers to WSU finding a new conference.

As well as snide comments, which add zero to the discussion.

Maybe you should follow your own advice.

Too bad, Champ.

If you are in the touchy feely camp, then this is not the place for you. Some fans of every team render pricks at other teams all the time. It is the nature of message boards. I do not believe it will change, but I could be wrong.

Also it is not helpful, when over sensitive posters take harmless remarks as a full bore attack on their very being.

Perhaps Maestro and you could form a task team to instill nicey nice into the discussions.

This is not true. There was an occasional dig, but....one on one.

"Speaking of backhanded, AceDad did you see the nice talk and hug Doug and Greg had postgame? Probably not."

First, what was backhanded about anything I said?

Second, as a father of two adult sons, I kinda know how one can go from "yelling" to "loving."

Third, coaches yell at a kid one moment and hug him the next.

Last, do you NOT understand the difficulty of coaching your son or being the player on dad's college team?

I am waiting for your learned and experienced response.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.
