I could make an argument for more Shox but I don't want to look greedy. Nice job.

I haven't checked - did Weems' numbers really fall off that badly that he can't even make first team? Wow!

Very solid selections across the board.

Its not that his numbers have fallen off that significantly, its just that Carmichael had a tremendous year.

I would have the same exact first team.

while not disagreeing with your choices, i am a little disappointed when you say the only players you considered for freshman of the year were tuttle and moore. While siu was awful dantiel daniels was very good this year. leading the league in blocks per game as a freshman, 3rd in offensive rebounding, not bad for a freshman thats barely 6'6 playing center

Love that Jackie was on your first team but I also agree that the other voters won't give it the thought that you did and Weems will actually get put there.

From Shockernet of course it is biased but it is a good question.

Echenique as the defensive player of the year? I think this is comical considering how bad defensively Creighton is as a team. The defensive player of the year should come from one of the best defenses in the league. According to KENPOM Creighton ranks 8 out of 10 in defensive efficiency as a team in the Valley and 190th out of 345 D1 teams. Shouldn't the defensive player of the year come from a team that plays a little defense?

I guess if you are the defensive leader of the 190th ranked basketball team in Defense in the country that makes you Defensive Valley Player of the Year?

I disagree, but you're right that SN might be a bit biased.
