Thought it would be interesting to see how folks see their teams starting five shaping up for the coming season.
I have an undereducated guess for each team and would like to see how those who follow their team closer see it at this early juncture.
My guesses, positions 1 - 5:
Bradley
Lemon
Simms-Edwards
Pickett
Prosser
Egolf

CU
Chapman
Manigat
Gibbs
McDermot
Echineque

DU
Madison
Jeffers
Simons
Clarke
Van Deest

Evansville
Taylor
Ryan
Jahr
Sawvill
Moore

Ill.SU
Cousin
Brown
Ekay
Wilkens
Carmichael

Ind.SU
Odum
Smith
Arop
Mahurin
Kitchel

MSU
Bracey
Downing
Perkins
Kirk
Thurman

UNI
Mitchell
James
Sonnen
Tuttle
Koch

SIU

For Drake:

Carter (JC transfer)
Hines (transfer from Utah)
Simons
Clarke
Van Deest

Madison and Jeffers, who both started as freshmen last season, will come off the bench.

If this starting five pans out, I like our chances.

Given healthy, 3 spots are pretty set for the Bears with Downing, Pickens, Kirk. The other frontcourt spot and the pg position are real battles and probably will be thru out the year between Williams/Bracey at the point, and Thurman/Wilson at the forward spot. Either way, the other member will play alot as will Marcus Marshall a 6'2 combo guard, who's probably the most complete offensive guard the Bears have had since Terrance Mc Gee.Bears will play 9-11 nightly, with 6 freshman all in the rotation.
Right now I'd say:[ small but very athletic group]

PG- Dorrian Williams 6'2
SG- Anthony Downing 6'0
SF- Keith Pickens 6'4
PF- Drew Wilson 6'7
C- Christian Kirk 6'7

If Cesnulevicius and Mockevicius are ever on the floor at the same time, I don't like any broadcaster's chance.

Probably right to start the year, but I wouldn't be surprised if Josh Jones or Nevin Johnson get as much time (perhaps even starts) as Manigat because we need a slasher in the lineup. (Last year Coach Mac said we essentially had seven starters - he included Josh Jones and Ethan Wragge as 'starters' because they got as many minutes as the starters.)

Starting PG is kinda up for grabs right now. It could be Kaza Keane. Johnny Hill's name has actually been thrown out there (to my surprise) and don't forget our 6th man Bryant Allen who handled a little point for us as well as with Minnesota. Very quick, but had trouble with handling.

Man, I like your starting 5 - seems like a lot of scoring punch.
