Our flashback memory for today, with play-by-play announcer Mike Kennedy, has the Wichita State Shockers in Omaha, Nebraska to face the Creighton Bluejays in a nationally-televised showdown. Of course, CU fans are claiming: “Creighton won't lose three in a row!”, “CU will win, were back at home. They won't lose. They just won't.”, “Creighton wins by 10”, “Jays come out with fire in their eyes knowing all that they have worked for is still right there with a "W".”, “Creighton by 15. They are that good.”, “WSU hasn't won a game this big away from WIchita (sic) since 1981. That streak isn't ending Saturday.”, “CU 83 WSU 68 and it won't seem that close, unfortunately.”, “In the last 15 years there have been 30 times CU has lost 2 in a row heading into a home game and they are 30-0 in those games. And 21/30 have been double digit wins.” etc. Or will the wheels on the CU bus be coming off, coming off, coming off, the wheels on the bus will be coming off, all through Omaha?
