Which basketball program was the MVC's best over the past 10 seasons (2001-2010)? Why? Please try to be objective in your responses.

I voted for Creighton because they always seem to be right there in the top two or three year in and year out.

my bias made me pick my jays- but UNI and SIU are pretty close in line.

I picked UNI for the exposure on the national scene with the upset last season and for the season prior. SIU also deserve the recogonition for the middle of the decade.

I voted for Creighton based on consistency, with last year as the only "off-year"

SIU was stronger in the middle of the decade but faded recently, UNI has been strong recently (7 straight 18-plus win seasons) but were lousy the first few years of the decade.

Not sure any other teams did enough over the course of the decade to be considered, though there were certainly very good individual teams-Drake's one season, Wichita State and Bradley's Sweet-16 squads...

Since the question was which program was the best over the past 10 years, I had to vote for Creighton. Day in and day out for nine of those ten years Creighton showed they were the class of the MVC. Other schools showed they were worthy of having better years, and the Valley has certainly been well represented, but Creighton wins on consistency.

Its SIU.

The last 2 seasons don't destroy what they did for 8. The best single season team, and maybe 6 of the best 10 of the decade. Lots of nationwide attention, tough as nails and won a lot.

You couldn't be any more correct.
