Flopping in college basketball

With the NBA cracking down on flopping this year - I wonder if the NCAA will follow suit in the next few years? Maybe they will adopt a watch and see approach. I'm all for it but it may be problematic to enforce.

Seems that an official has to be able to recognize a foul and call it one way or the other, real time, thats officiating. The complaint or fix doesn't seem logical. Seems the move could be more of a reaction to replay results.

If they do crackdown, it will serve as the death nail for the Panther program.

I've heard it both ways.

Sorry, just had to interject a humorous catchphrase from Psych.
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

Yeah my understanding is the Nba is going to review game film after the fact and levy fines based on how they interpret things. Not sure that would be possible in the college game. I do wish there was some way to control it though.

I'm shocked it took that long.

Seems like an easily cured situation to me. Stop flopping and nobody would say a word. It has, unfortunately, become a chronic, repetitive situation at UNI.

Monetary fines would never work at the college level, but for conference games only, a conference could institute rules for suspension. They do something like that in soccer already -- if you have a certain number of cards, you are suspended for a game. I'd love to see a rule like that for flopping.
