Barring injury, I doubt Babineaux will start. He seems like a 2 or 3, and I expect Hines and Simons to be Drake's starters at those positions. Babineaux could easily play significant minutes as the first 2/3 off the bench, though.

Agreed. Drake will have two newcomers (Carter, Hines) in the starting line-up, but no freshmen.

If WSU didn't have Armstead, I'd have picked Van Vleet.

Any chance FVV gets redshirted?

There was some fan talk about an RS due to the guard depth, but based on prior performance, pick-up performance, and HCGMs praise for FVV after the late summer practices, it appears more likely that he will start than red-shirt.

I know it was only one game... and I know it was against Philander Smith... but this is a nice state line:

Code: Select all
BENCH   MIN   FGM-A   3PM-A    REB    AST        PTS

G Thurman   21   8-13   3-3      8       2          19

Maybe Shocker fans should have nominated Ron Baker. He tickled the twine for 17 tonight in his debut. And it was against a D1 team, not Dr. Phil.
Random MVCFans.com member, circa 2007: "Gregg Marshall is in over his head in this conference."

Gavin has been very good. But a lot of Bears fans think Marcus Marshall has been even better.
