Official 2012-13 MVCfans.com prediction - 1st/2nd Place

For the past 8 weeks, the users of this forum have been predicting the final league standings for the 2012-13 mens MVC basketball season. Last week, Northern Iowa was selected as the 3rd place finisher - link to week 8 results

Now that we are down to the final two teams remaining, we will be voting for the league champion between Creighton and Illinois State.

Week 9 - Who will finish in 1st place during the 2012-13 MVC mens basketball season?
-You are choosing the team that you believe will be the Missouri Valley Conference mens basketball champion for 2012-13. Voting will remain open until the evening of Monday, October 15.

7th Place - Indiana State

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but it's hard to not pick Creighton here.

You can rationally argue just about any placement, except this one. It might not happen, but Creighton MUST be selected, and deservedly so.

Based on preseason expectations I can't see how the Bluejays are not the favorites. Illinois State returns a talented team, there is no arguing that, even without Nic Moore, but even still Creighton matches up better against the rest of the conference better than the Redbirds do. That's not to say Illinois State does not have a better season, that's certainly a possibility, but at this point all signs point to CU
