Bradley Beats Upper Iowa 68-54

Bradley played sloppy in the first half and only led by three at half. Opened the game up in the second half.

The good:
17th year senior Will Egolf had a nice return to the court (offensively at least). 16 pts, 4 rebs and, surprisingly, made four three-pointers in the game. Egolf has made a total of ZERO three pointers in his however many season at Bradley.

Walt Lemon is still quick and hard to guard.

Bradley actually shot the ball well surprisingly. 55% overall. 58% from three.

Braves forced 24 turnovers

The bad:
Still weak interior offense and defense. UIU outrebounded Bradley and the Braves had just one offensive rebound.

Too many turnovers for a guard oriented team.

Bradley plays UW Parkside on Saturday.

We had to break out the Major League quotes after hearing this stat on the radio on the way home.

It's hard to take much away from this one game since so few scholarship players played and Upper Iowa isn't that good.

There's improvement from last year, but still some glaring weaknesses.

It was kinda different to see a team full court press the whole game in an exhibition.

Ha. That is great.

One improvement is the radio crew. Chad Kleine does a nice job. He and Dave will be good this year. That's good for us out of towners.

From what I hear it sounds like Tyshon Pickett is an important player who needs to be on the floor quite a bit.

I'm an early fan of Pickett. Bradley could use a couple more guys like him on the roster. It sounds like how many fouls he has will dictate how much he plays.

There were many rotations out there last night that I don't think (hope) Bradley will use during the year.
