Injury report thread

Postby LJay » November 3rd, 2012, 9:42 am

Seeing the BU kid out for 4-6 weeks post I thought it might be informative to have a thread where injuries are reported.

11/3, CU report = Nevin Johnson high ankle sprain and bone bruise, out 4-6 weeks. Jahenns Manigat deep thigh bruise. Didn't play in Iowa and U of M exhibitions. Seemed to be moving pretty well last night and would expect that he will be ready to go for North Texas on Friday.

Van Vleet and Williams are both getting over ankle issues. 6-9 JUCO Chadrack Lufile has a shoulder injury. Tekele Cotton has a back strain. All four are limited but can play if needed.

I have heard rumors of an injury (6-8 weeks out) for one of Drake's starters....should know more after tonight's exhibition game.

Panthers are healthy right now. Tyler Lang is out for some time with concussion issues but he probably wouldn't get more than 5 minutes a game when at 100%

Chris Hines out 2 weeks for Drake....should be back for Anaheim Classic, but will miss first 2 games of season i addition to tonight's exhibition.

Jeffers should be back next weekend after missing tonight's game.

Seth Tuttle went up for a dunk and landed on his wrist. Sat out the remainder of the game. Didn't look to be too serious, but who knows, neither did O'rear's (are dual-apostrophe's legal?) that one year. Hopefully its nothing, if not, it could be devastating because its clear now that Chris Olivier is not yet ready to provide the support in the post that many Panther fans hoped he would.

Cotton likely won't play in the exhibition tomorrow.

Lufile has injured his knee and will not be available.

VanVleet and Williams are less than 100%, but will play.

We were up 20 in the second half with about 8 minutes to play, no reason to bring him back in. They taped it but he stayed on the bench and was clapping and high-fiving guys the rest of the way. Jake's comment after the game was that it wasn't serious. Shouldn't need him for too much against Wartburg.
