2nd half wasn't bad. Chill out.....lol. Tomorrow is a new day. And we definately didn't look "awful in almost every facet of the game.".......

Plenty of things to work on, but the Shox did some good things too.

They fouled too much, and weren't terribly efficient from the field or line. But 10 players had an assist, and we definitely won the turnover battle.

If we can play defense like tonight without fouling, we win. Of course, I'd LOVE to see more offense. If they can start shooting 50% from the field, 33% from the 3PT line, and 70%+ for FTs, they will be elite.

I'm scared to mention anything good about the game for fear of a chastising session by a certain Creighton poster.

Not much good from it anyways. Free throw shooting, shooting layups, and fouling were big negatives. Still a win. If WSU would have hit a normal percentage of free throws, they win it by 25+. Very ugly but you take the win and move on against Iowa/Western Kentucky.

Nice win, Iowa assuming they win will be a really good test since many consider them a bubble team.

all facets of the game? Are you a drama queen?

1. Held their opponent to 31% shooting
2. Out rebounded their opponent
3. Out rebounded their opponent on the offensive glass
4. Caused their opponent to turn the ball over more than them
5. Only turned the ball over 10 times while being pressed most of the game
6. Scored 75 points
7. Held their opponent to 23% shooting from 3
8. Defense had 9 steals (only average 6 last year)
9. Defense had 6 blocks (last year team average less than 4)
10. Won the game by double-digits

now if they made their layups and hit couple more FT, and wouldn't foul as much....

Margin of the win (13 points) was exactly what I predicted. The way that happened wasn't what I was expecting.

I think it's pretty obvious that I'm overly optimistic about the Shox talent this year. I haven't done anything to downplay my optimism and I haven't been afraid to say what I feel.

While I'm happy with a 13-point win over a BEast team, I'm not that impressed with some of the individual performances I've seen so far in the more "difficult" games. With the inexperience the Shox have, I was expecting some bumps in the early season. I don't expect the Shox to be hitting on even 7 of 8 cylinders until some time after the Valley season starts.

The Shox are 5-0 with wins over VCU on the road and DePaul on a neutral court. Need to beat Iowa to have any respect. I'm assuming Iowa will hold on to their lead and beat WKen
