Still got Simons and Clarke to anchor.

Hines and Ricks are also nice additions.

I'm guessing you mean Madison (Drake also has a Mason on the team, but he's a freshmen). Even without Rice, this is a more talented Drake team. Will be interesting to see how quickly all the new guys can adjust to D1 ball.

What happened to Madison? I thought he was a freshman last year?

Madison had his knee scoped a week or two ago....should be back just in time for conference season.

Drake loses 74-70 to Xavier. Unfortunately, it appears that Drake is going to play spoiler rather than contender. They will beat someone good in Des Moines and St Louis.

DUBulldog has a right to his opinion but not to his own facts.

Jordan Clarke is not "limited offensively". Just go to the Jordan Clarke Skills Post at http://www.drakenation.com and view the video.

Jordan has sacrificed his body and his game for Drake's success. He played with a 2 lb brace and a broken elbow through 19 games his Sophomore year. So, in effect, Jordan was playing with one arm. Last year Jordan played 29 games with both shoulder labrums torn badly. In addition, in the MVC Tournament and CIT Tournament Jordan played with a torn tendon in his right middle finger.

He took the entire spring/summer to heal and decided not to have the 3 surguries his body needed.

Hopefully, Jordan will get through his final season without any major injuries.
