Instead we let them throw in a 35 ft baseline garbage 3. Are you kidding me?

He came to us being billed as some kind of X's and O's genius. The right hand man behind Matt Painter's success at Purdue. Part of the legendary Gene Keady tree. Guffaw.

He has become such a punchline. He doesn't have that IT factor like Cuonzo did as much as it pains me to say it. I'm sure he will get 2-3 more years to "figure things out" because winning is only kinda encouraged at MSU but at any serious basketball school he would be feeling the heat right now.

Bring in a veteran bench coach if you need to but at least create the semblance that you measure up. Tough night. Might be a broken record for this season.

He was never billed as an X and O genius.

Was everyone associated with the Bears afraid of losing to Frank Martin?
Random MVCFans.com member, circa 2007: "Gregg Marshall is in over his head in this conference."

I'm looking at this thread just chomping at the bit. Time for me to just turn around and walk away. I'll pretend I didn't see anything.
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

When your athletic department budget dictates that you hire an assistant coach and elevate him to your head coach, you're rolling the dice on every hire.

Some times it works (Cuonzo Martin), but those coaches tend to leve for a bigger paycheck. Other times it doesn't work as well.

WSU learned that lesson when they hired Mike Cohen, which led to a decade of mediocrity in the '90's.

Hiring a lead assistant was pretty in vogue in the late 80s and early 90s. Assistants do become good head coaches, but it's definitely risky.

Some of us aren't giving up on Lusk. I'm sure hes not the 1st new head coach to have some growing pains. It was a tough loss but there were a few small positives such as the play of Marcus Marshall. That kid is going to be a good one.

51-51 at the under 4. They should foul now to prevent the three.

Down 2 w/about 2 minutes left. What happened to Gavin Thurman, I thought this guy was suppose to be really good, 10 points total in the last 5 games (zero in this one)?
