Did his Winthrop teams fare as well, or were they forced to play the big boys and this would not be a fair comparison.

I think the record is not 3 years from today's date, but 3 seasons of basketball - the 2010-11 season, 11-12 season, and so far, the 12-13 season.

It's a pretty impressive stat, especially given the difficulty of the Valley road.
