I have no particular interest in seeing another year of Phelps, but I have no real reason to believe administration is planning on a change. He seems like a nice guy and is by all accounts a good ambassador, but he just isn't a good coach (even if Johnson does a lot of the coaching at this point).

Assuming Phelps ends up on Thursday night again this year that wil be 5 in a row. would any team in the Valley keep a coach with 5 Thursday night finishes for a sixth season?

How many years left on the contract? Surely they won't renew him whenever his deal is up.
