Held my tongue over Phelps for some time now. He recruits classes that generally are considered good and plays Thursday night every year in the Lou and seems on his way there again.

It is obvious, he is a shitty game day coach.

I had Drake at 7-11 coming into Valley play, but after last night I'm probably going to have to revise that to 6-12 or 5-13. Completely hapless effort, and the team seems to be worse every game.

Nice win for the Braves. I will be curious to see whether a relatively thin bench causes fatigue as the season goes on for BU. Coach Ford, however, is a keeper and continues to do a very good job in Peoria.

Agreed. With the addition of Tyshon Pickett and Egolf back, our bigs get a bit more rest than last year, but this still remains an issue. Bradley lives on points in the paint and forced turnovers. A big man or Dyricus Simms Edwards going down would be pretty detrimental to this team.

Simms-Edwards is a forced turnover machine. He co-leads all of D1 basketball in steals with 44 (tied with Briante Weber of VCU).

Wow; solid win for Geno and BU. The Drake looked pretty solid offensively when I watched them on TV earlier against Cal, but maybe I haven't given enough credit to how much the Braves have improved. Home court is hard to beat in the Valley!
