Skipping tiebreakers because they're meaningless with this few games played.

Bradley 2-0
Creighton 2-0
Indiana St. 2-0
Wichita St. 2-0
Evansville 1-1
Missouri St. 1-1
Drake 0-2
Illinois St. 0-2
Northern Iowa 0-2
Southern Illinois 0-2

Some really interesting matchups on Saturday/Sunday:
Indiana State at Creighton (2pm CT, ESPN3)
Missouri State at Drake (7pm CT, ESPN3)
Southern Illinois at Evansville (8pm CT, Fox Sports Midwest/ESPN3)
Northern Iowa at Illinois State (7pm CT)
WIchita State at Bradley (Sunday, 4:30pm, ESPNU)

Well I guess what we DO know is that 2 teams will be tied for first at 3-0 after Sunday. Which 2? Stay tuned. That is about as big as the games can get this early in the season. All 4 2-0 teams are playing each other.

I am actually a little concerned for the Shox @ Bradley. Should be quite a battle. Indiana St @ Creighton could be a good one also.

We also know that one of the preseason top 5 will be 0-3 to start conference play.

If I remember correctly, there is a pretty strong track record correlating between teams that have won the Valley regular season title and also starting the conference at 3-0 over the last decade. I think UNI in 08-09 and WSU last year might be the only two teams to not start off 3-0 and win the regular season title. Don't have the energy to look it up this morning.

If Bradley and ISU blue pull off the upsets this weekend, it would set-up a first place showdown next Wednesday night in Terre Haute. :o :D

Just realized one of them will be 0-3. Tough hole to climb out of particularly for Illinois St if they have any at large hopes.

I think either or both of them will be able to climb back into the race. Whichever is 0~3, their hopes for winning the regular season are over. Both had tough opening schedules, it will get easier. What I have seen so far is Indiana State is much better than expected and UNI doesn't have the horses they had a few years ago. Jacobson can coach, can gameplan, but doesnt have near the athletes he had when they beat Kansas. They are still top five, but not first, second or third.

Did EspnU just pick this game up or was this scheduled to be televised on there from the begining of the season?

This has long been scheduled. We've just lucked out that we're getting now 2 nationally ranked opponents on our home floor on national TV.
