Any team that has 37 turnovers in 2 game should be a lock for Thursday play. :(

UE struggled to a 3-pt. OT W against MSU - In Evansville. That doesn't say much for them. Well, actually, it says a lot. A lot that UE fans wouldn't want said.

After watching WSU against both UNI and DU, DU looks like the better team of those 2. It all depends on which team has their outside shooters shut down more easily. The front courts for UNI and DU seem to be a "pick-'em".

Going with the "what have you done for me lately" theory, which is all there is to go on right now, I'd put UE vs. SIU in the 7/10 game and UNI vs. MSU in the 8/9 game.

I'm giving BU a pass. That 2-game winning streak at the beginning of the season will not be matched by any of the other teams and will be too much to overcome.

I'll agree with the thread starter that MSU and SIU are in. I'm pretty sure I had Bradley and Indiana State as the other two before the season began. Bradley is now w/o Egolf so I can keep them. I've been impressed with In St. I would not be surprised if they finish in the top 3. I am going to keep them as my other Thursday night team.

I think you're right. I see us finishing #7 at this point, though I see a potential 9-9 record (which would probably keep us out of Thursday) if we continue strong in the first half and keep doing well at home.

I personally hope Egolf returns because he's represented BU well (except this incident and another), but with sufficient punishment.
Our seniors are playing well this season, and Walt has been more consistent so far.
When we've lost, Lemon has played poorly, except maybe the Michigan game.

I think Missouri State and SIU are pretty much locks for Thursday.

I wouldn't say Drake is a complete lock at this point, but they are definitely next in the pecking order.

I think the 4th team will come from UNI, Evansville, and Bradley. Too early to tell who it will be at this point.

I think they other 4 teams (CU, WSU, and both ISU's) are safe at this point.

Maybe tie breakers will come into play.

Tiebreakers? Is that what was used last year so five mediocre teams could claim they finished third?

I agree with Aaaarrghg, I think UNI will finish below the Bulldogs. Maybe I am over optimistic the Bulldogs will harness some of the Freshman energy between now and March. But if that happens, maybe we get to watch the others fight their way in. I guess 08 was the last time seeing that situation.

Although I do remember a positive Thurday night moment....when Josh Young nailed one with about a second left over SIU.
