NDSU beats Notre Dame last night and has a RPI of 55. Now can we join the MVC?

much like certain schools fought against the addition of Dallas-Baptist for baseball, I suspect those same schools would fight against NDSU. I think you would find that if Elgin just proposed the MVC automatic bid be passed around to each school - there would be some schools who would be all for it.

Frankly, NDSU should be banging down the doors of FBS conferences.

NDSU is a football school, the way things are going. They should in contact with the Sun Belt, MAC, or even trying to find a way to resurrect the WAC with a few other teams.

The MVC is a basketball league with FCS football. NDSU's goals and the MVC's goals are not equivalent. NDSU should be pushing elsewhere.

NDSU would never be considered in any of those leagues. Expansion has very little to do with skill.

the only conference(s) they will EVER be in are the Summit or Big Sky, that's IT, it's all because they're located in Canada, and NO conference wants to expand into Canada, EVER. It's location, location, location. Doesn't get any more easy to explain than that.

I'm not saying it's likely that it would work, but they have no other options but to try.

The overarching point is that philosophically, the MVC should never be part of their ambition.

^^^ Ok its LATE in the season, does RPI matter now? NDSU is 18-6, I myself want NDSU in a FBS football conference, but with NDSU's 43 million dollar arena coming on in 2015, I want to know WHY Missouri Valley wouldnt benefit from adding NDSU/SDSU.

RPI's
6 6 Wichita St. Missouri Valley 25-0 9-0 2- 0 13-0 1-0
48 51 North Dakota St. Summit 18-6 8-5 1- 0 6-1 3-0
