I really don't know why everybody is freaking out.

Who the heck is going to be added that brings any real value?

As long as UMKC agreed to certain budget metrics I couldn't care less.

Also I'm going to puke the next time I see some clown mention Dayton and/or Saint Louis. They will not be associated with the Valley, regardless or their league situation.

Hey what about getting Dayton and St. Louis.

You had to see that coming. :D

Seriously. It is doubtful but that is the level of school we should be interested in. No reason to look at UMKC. If that is what is going down. Bradley (My interest) might as well join the summit league and play in Reynold's Coll. on campus. I hope that is not where we are headed. UMKC is one of the only ones mentioned worse than the Dakota's.

I could deal with-
Belmont
Detroit
Milwaukee
Denver (Maybe)
Murray State
Dreams- St. Louis,Dayton

Would love the A-10 merger. Or second choice would be the MAC deal.

Thank you. Exactly right.

SLU ain't happening. Dayton ain't happening. What realistic school do people want? Unless the new team is Bellarmine it won't be that huge a deal.

I prefer Valpo because of its recent basketball success but none of the four schools would be the end of the world.

The "Co" stands for county. Which is not a city by definition.

This isn't even about adding value.

UMKC would subtract value. Significant amounts of it.

Our RPI is based on the teams we play. A 9 team Valley would be far better for our RPI than adding two games against a 250+ RPI team. That's not just two games against a 250+ RPI for us, but two games for every single team in the conference. Every team in the conference has their RPI fall by playing them. Which means every team we play in conference has an even lower RPI than they would have had without them. It's a ripple effect that has a significant impact on WSU's RPI.

Literally, doing nothing is better than adding UMKC. They will hurt our RPI, which hurts our opportunity to get at-large NCAA bids in the future. We're well on our way to being a one-bid conference anyway, we don't need to help it get there even faster.

Okay, clear the puke out and tell me why UIC, Loyola and/or Valparaiso would not be good choices.
