IMHO The Ramblers (this season) are going to have a REAL tough time adjusting to the much more physical Valley play. Just don't see a mid-pack Horizon team waltzing into The MVC and being any better than 8th.

Think The Ramblers are an excellent addition to The Valley, and Loyola has a real good shot at moving up The MVC leaderboard in a couple of years...just not so much this season.

ROCK IT MVC!!

I think you'll be surprised by the Ramblers, Climber. They are not the pick here. ISUr gets it.

I agree. Due to youth last year I think both the Ramblers and the Bears could be somewhat surprises to a degree. I went with ISUr due to the overhaul in talent.

I think it'll be ISUr. When you lose as much as they did, and you replace them with a lot of jucos and freshman, you're likely in for a long season.

I also picked the Redbirds here. Ramblers are very close.

Loyola returns a lot of D1 experience. IlSU has A LOT of people in this recruiting class, because - what's left from last year - 2 guys? With how many years of D1 experience?

It's a lot easier to make the transition from the Horizon League to the MVC than it is to make the transition from JuCo or HS to the MVC.

Why don't the Aces come up more in discussion? They could be pretty bad.

I think we'd all take Marty over Muller and Moser. I think that's why they get the benefit of the doubt.

The only question in this whole thing is what order Bradley and Missouri State get picked in (4-5). The bottom 5 are pretty much set and the top three are a lock to be 1-WSU 2-InSU 3-UNI.

I don't know how you can't vote for ISU here. Sure, they have young talent but it has next to no experience and an unproven coach.

Loyola is a lot like MSU in that they were insanely young last year and dealt with a number of injuries that hurt them. I believe they were off to a fairly solid start before the injury bug hit and they were forced to play more freshmen more minutes. That hurt them last year but should help this season.

And even though Evansville has Marty, they should definitely be in the discussion. They have a couple of nice pieces, but lost the vast majority of their offense and main support staff. They do have a nice post and Balentine could be good, but how will he adjust to being the main man?
