With Cotton, Baker, and FVV I would pick WSU to win the league if they had 2 8th graders playing the 4 and 5.

Basically the same boat we were in this year. It was Early, Lufile who had only averaged 7.9 mpg the year before, and a bunch of new people.

Same thing the year before that. Carl Hall, Orukpe who had only averaged 7.8 mpg, and a bunch of new people.

WSU's had yearly turnover at the 4/5 spots since Stutz graduated. Only difference this coming year is that we won't have a fringe player that was playing under 8 minutes a game returning at that spot.

Like DUBulldog said, though, it's way too early for these kind of predictions. At this time last year WSU hadn't locked up Darius Carter ... and without Carter I WOULD be worried about our team next year at the 4/5 spots. If someone like Willie Atwood (top 5 JUCO recruit this year) shows up on WSU's roster soon, that would change the situation.

And regardless, WSU will have the best 1-4 players in the league next year. Same as this year. Lufile/Coleby at the five aren't the reason WSU dominated this year.

Fixed. I should have all RS, LOIs, and verbal commits now…hopefully. I used judgement on the Key reserves as to who was key and who was not. I will update as the spring signing continues.

While there is a hole in the post, it doesn't scare me. The incoming talent level is VERY high, and the league, as a whole, is not strong in the front court. UNI, Indiana State, and Bradley all have two good players and one decent. Everyone else has one good player and maybe one more serviceable, but a decent JUCO add to any team can easily make up the difference.

Bradley has Shaw, Taylor, and Barnes.
Drake has Jensen
Evansville has Mock
Illinois State has Lynch and Jones
Indiana State has Gant, Smith, and Kitchell
Loyola has O'Leary and Thomas
Missouri State has Smith and McCullough…could throw in Thurman here.
Northern Iowa has Tuttle and Buss
SIU has Bola
WSU has Carter

Not exactly murder's row.

I've seen rumors that his dad might leave SIU for another job...if so, it's possible that Beane Jr would follow him.

Anything is possible. Sr. is probably looking, he interviewed elsewhere last year. Jr. could be gone with him. It is also possible that Jr. isn't the prize. There is an even younger Beane who is supposed to be the best. A 6'3" 8th grader that is already making noise.
