SFA is a weird computer profile case. They're gold for your SoS because they rack up a good W-L....but will absolutely torpedo your OSoS rank. It's still a net positive, probably.

That's not the worst road game in the world to take.

SFA might not be bad roadie, but you'd hope there'd be a return game at UNI next year. SFA will get the hype because of their gaudy W/L record last year and an NCAA W. UNI should be able to take them, so UNI could get an early road W over a hyped opponent.

Gotta win the game though.

There is indeed a return trip. SFA will play in Cedar Falls the Saturday after Christmas next year.

WSU will open with Loyola Marymount in Hawaii. After that they could catch Nebraska, then Colorado or GWU. That SHOULD be 2 more quality games to go along with, St. Louis @ Intrust, Alabama, New Mexico State, Tulsa, Seton Hall, @ Utah, @ Detroit, Memphis in South Dakota and a non D1 home game. That's as solid a schedule, top to bottom, as I can remember. Would have been nice to mix in one great top 10 type game somewhere but this is pretty good.

6 or 7 MVC teams are going to have a pretty brutal OOC SOS this year.

I take it the talk of the scheduling mandate returning was nothing but BS? It was supposed to be reinstated for this season, but obviously that's not the case.

Marty is coaching for his job. He put together a schedule that reflects that fact.

Unfortunately the Bears OOC schedule is pretty brutal too. A lot of angst among Bears fans about it. Given the fact that I think we have a realistic shot at being very competitive in the Valley this year that schedule is really disappointing.

Well that talk came up in February and March, correct? Some teams had several return games and other matchups already set by that point in time. I say at that point you have to look at the year beyond to see if it's being implemented.
[Insert snappy comeback]
