Birds host VCU, Utah State. Travel to DePaul, Paradise Jam in Virgin Islands. I think they should try to get a buy game vs an opponent like SMU have some fun with Jank and Nic Moore

WSU has added Seton Hall as a home game. We will also play Utah on the road, St Louis at home, and Memphis at a neutral site and in an exempt tourney featuring Nebraska, DePaul, and Colorado. There are others, but I can't remember.

Redbirds Non-Conference schedule

Nov 2 VCU
Nov 16 Utah State
Nov 19 Youngstown State
Nov 21-24 Paradise Jam (first game against Weber State)
Dec 1 at UAB
Dec 14 at DePaul
Dec 17 UT Martin
Dec 20 at Murray St
Dec 22 IPFW
Dec 29 Quincy

I like it but Just don't have a big marquee game like we did with Louisville 2 years back. Paradise Jam will be a fun competitive tournament for us as well.

It would appear the goal was to get as many games against teams as close to RPI 150 as possible.

Dec 17 UT Martin 328
Dec 20 at Murray St 145

A lot of quality teams they just don't have the "names" people look for.

Bradley announces they'll play in the South Point Holiday Classic in Las Vegas, with UC-Irvine, UWGB and UALR. UCI (117 RPI) and UWGB (67 RPI) won the Big West and Horizon leagues respectively and played in the NIT. UALR (182) was 5th in the Sun Belt so hopefully we get to avoid them. Of course, they're saying the same about Bradley.

I think "quality" might be a little bit of a stretch, but you can, and as Jank proved repeatedly, have, done significantly worse.

Looks like winning that first game against Weber State in the USVI is big for the Birds from an SOS perspective. That would likely net them games against LSU (projected bubble team by some) and one of Seton Hall/Nevada/Clemson. A loss nets them a likely matchup with Old Dominion and whoever else in the loser's bracket. Hopefully ISUr gets off on the right foot in that tournament.

Otherwise not a bad schedule. Only one or two grenades and a handful of teams that should be significantly improved from a year ago (UAB, Utah State, Murray State).

Teams like UNI, ISUr and MSU really need to make a splash in the OOC to regain some respect for the non-WSU league members.
