Indiana State fans will get another look at Shayok Shayok, has he transferred to UMKC from Bradley last year.

SOS killer UIC is scheduled for Dec 28. It's a return game for the Bracket Busters. I was hoping it would get pushed back.

With 5 games to be announced, here's BU's schedule. 4 of the 5 remaining games will take place approx Nov 22-29 as part of the Corpus Christi tournament, with 2 games in Peoria (North Texas (187) and Texas A&M-CC (240) are rumored) and 2 games in CC (SLU (31), Texas A&M (146), Mississippi State (244) and TCU (222) are rumored).

Nov. 14 UT-ARLINGTON (204)
Nov. 19 ROBERT MORRIS (125)
Dec. 2 CENTRAL MICHIGAN (294)
Dec. 6 at Memphis (36)
Dec. 9 at Kansas State (50)
Dec. 21 vs. UC Irvine (117) (Las Vegas)
Dec. 22 vs. Green Bay (67) or UALR (182) (Las Vegas)
Dec. 28 UIC (317)

Bradley will play Eureka (a nearby D3 college) on Dec. 18. It's better than another 300+ SOS killer, but I was hoping for a series with a solid opponent. There's a perverse incentive to schedule these games instead of a bad DI team because it has no effect on SOS, but as a fan I'd rather see a bad DI team any day. Oh well. All we await now is the official lineup for the Corpus Christi tournament.

UCF has backed out of the Cancun Challenge. They have been replaced by Miami (OH)

UNI, Northwestern, Virginia Tech, Miami (OH)

Yuck.

That looks like a decent upgrade on paper at least, Miami (OH) was 60 spots better in the RPI last season. They are also coached by former Shocker, John Cooper who turned perennial loser Tennessee State into a winner. I wouldn't be surprised if Miami (OH) ends up being a top 100 team. I expect Collins to have Northwestern improved also. As long as you don't get Virginia Tech it might be a pretty good tournament. It's definitely not a Battle 4 Atlantis, but it's a very winnable tournament and not a complete RPI drag.

It was pushed back, as the BB matchup was 2 years ago.

The field for the Corpus Christi tournament has been announced, but we're still waiting on the pairings. Edit: H/t to Tornado for finding sources on two of the three pairings. I'm hoping we draw Radford, SLU and Green Bay in these tournaments to minimize the SOS hit.

Nov. 14 TEXAS-ARLINGTON (204)
Nov. 19 ROBERT MORRIS (125)
Nov. 23 RADFORD (229) or NORTH CAROLINA A&T (338) or MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE (342)
Nov. 25 TEXAS A&M-CORPUS CHRISTI (240)
Nov. 28 vs. TCU (222) (Corpus Christi)
Nov. 29 vs. SLU (31) or Mississippi State (244) (Corpus Christi)
Dec. 2 CENTRAL MICHIGAN (294)
Dec. 6 at Memphis (36)
Dec. 9 at Kansas State (50)
Dec. 18 EUREKA
Dec. 21 vs. UC Irvine (117) (Las Vegas)
Dec. 22 vs. Green Bay (67) or UALR (182) (Las Vegas)
Dec. 28 ILLINOIS-CHICAGO (317)

Ugh, sucks to have an exempt tournament submarine the SOS like that. UIC is the only grenade outside of the Corpus Christi dumpster fire, so I'll chalk that up to Geno getting unluckily burned by a bad tournament.

Hopefully the Braves can rack up a bunch of Ws.

Signing up for an exempt tournament is a great way to play BCS schools, but when those schools are in the RPI 200s it defeats the purpose. Even if BU draws Radford and SLU it only averages out to 180. If BU draws MVSU and Mississippi State it's an average of 262.
