Really hope Loyola or Indiana State ponies up the cash for him in a year or two if either job opens up.

Does Randy Peele replace Jans? Peele was Marshall's wingman at Winthrop during a 4-year stretch, one year in which the Eagles flirted with the Top-25 and plowed Notre Dame by 11 in the NCAA Tournament (the year following a buzzer beater loss to Tennessee in a 2/15 game). Peele succeeded Marshall at Winthrop with mixed results -- 2 NCAA trips in 5 years, but the troughs got him pinkslipped.

Good for Coach Jans. If he's able to replicate Marshall's blueprint, they're in for a lot of success, and assistant spots at WSU are going to become very competitive.

Anyone ever been to BG? I have and that can't be an easy place to recruit. Regardless, good luck to him.

I'd imagine he'll be heavily relying on JUCO players, at least initially.

Jans will have a lot of credibility instantly with JUCO recruits.

I bet Coach Jans ends up back at WSU if Coach Marshall ends up leaving in the next few years.

Also, no chance Coach Marshall is leaving this offseason if Coach Jans took a different job. He would have been the obvious choice to replace him.

Just saw on Twitter that Chris Jans has hired Indiana State's assistant coach David Ragland. Ragland has accepted the position just not sure if it's assisant coach or associate head coach.
