Really people these are stats of someone I should be upset about leaving?

Nope. But I would be a bit upset with losing #1) my team's second leading scorer and #2) my team's best three point shooter, most prolific three point shooter and best FT shooter.

muahahahaha did you just use prolific to describe a 29% 3pt shooter??? Zeisloft only shot 30 FT's so he accounted for 3.8% of our teams FT attempts.

He was 4th on the team in 3pt %

Time to put my thoughts in:

There is no way this team should finish outside of the top 4 in conference.

As of now we have good size, athleticism, and some experience mixed with youth. We can play pretty good defense and rarely lose at home. Reggie is an x factor for us, if his offensive game continues to improve this offseason outside of wsu's big men mockevius and tuttle nobody should be able to control him.
Our biggest weaknesses are outside shooting and playing on the road. Until we show that we can win on the road nobody should be thinking we can make the ncaa tournament, let alone the NIT. Our team is too streaky with our outside shooting. With Zeisloft and lofton gone there goes our two best shooters IMO. The next 3 recruits that we sign will determine how we go from top 4 to contending. If we do not get a knock down shooter, someone to keep the defense honest, teams can just zone up on us and will give us fits.
I love the potential of this team but how good we can be rides on our 3 new guys (mcintosh, hawkins, purcell) and our next recruits we sign. We will be a solid mvc team with the potential to be a top 2 team.

Our top targets are collectively better than our departures.
These next few weeks will make or break Muller's tenure.

Lofton is a big loss and Zeisloft is too really. I don't see anyone stepping in and contributing right away what they were giving us.

That sounds like what some people were saying last year about the team. Whole bunch of new guys. Never played together before. There is no way they can mold together. Predicted to be last or 2nd to last in the conference. Hmmm

While there is a little room for "I told you so," lets not pretend that IlSU was a world-beating team last year. They finished 1 game above .500 with an RPI of 136, going 5-5 in their last 10, and losing their last 7 road games.

I have IlSU slotted for Top 3 next year, but wouldn't be surprised if something blows up and they fall to 7th, either.

How many times are you going to bank on the same narrative working?

Of course, ISU could turn into Bradley. A bunch of newcomers that can't get their sh** straight with the returners and a crappy season happens.

Looks like DeVaughn Purcell is already better than Zeisloft.
