What's his annual salary?

From the News-Leader:

"Lusk is receiving a three-year extension and, thanks to a private donation, will make $50,000 more annually. That brings his base salary to $305,333." --If TV/Radio/etc. were to stay the same, his total would be around $470k I believe.

"The university's buyout would cost the value of his base salary. Should Lusk leave early, he would owe $350,000 in the first year and then $70,000 less each year he has left on this contract, Moats said."

Good to see MSU being proactive on keeping Lusk around. I think part of why WSU has been able to keep Marshall is that they were pretty proactive at bumping up his salary.

Good to see the necessary extension, and a substantial bump to his base pay.

Whether it works out with Lusk or not (looks like it should), demonstrating that the program is able and willing to pay a higher salary is helpful in attracting high quality candidates.
