Jake Odum will be playing in the Portsmouth Invitational. It starts April 16th - 19th. Phil Jackson mentioned this event in an interview, don't know if he plans to attend or not. Here's the website with the teams:

Jake Odum's team won 88 to 81. He show some nice moves and played well. Showed a nice stepback fadeaway and a TD Pass full court for an assist. He had 16 pts, 3 stls, 3 boards, 6 assists (Could of had more if teammates would of made missed layups). shot 7 for 10 and was 2 for 4 from 3 point. 0 turnovers. no free throws (Shocking). He was 2nd leading scorer for the team. His team moves on to the semi's of the winner bracket.

He played off the ball in the first half. So basically shooting guard. Then he played point in the second half. He plays tonite at 9pm eastern/8pm central. You can watch it free on the website, quality is not the best but with some of the schools in the MVC broadcast you will be use to it. lol

Jake Odum had a nice showing at the Portsmouth Invitational. He averaged 11 pts, 7 asts, 3 rbds, 2.3 stls, and He made the All Tournamnet team. The talk is that his playmaking abilities and how well he facilitates raised his status to a potential second round pick. You can read it here and this was just after his first game:

Even if Jake doesnt get picked in the second round of the NBA draft, I think he will get drafted in the 1st round of the D-League.

Because of Jake's performance from the Invitational, he was contacted by 5 NBA teams. He has his first NBA workout with the Kings May 6th - 8th.

It would be cool to have a couple MVC players drafted in the same season. I hope Jake can work his way into the 2nd round.
