As I've said before, let the big dog eat. If we're moving this shindig, Wichita's earned the right to have it in their backyard.

Chicago is a meh idea, all the other ideas are various levels of insane.

Couldn't they hold both at Scottrade since the MVC tourney is a week before the SEC?

Hold the two tournaments back-to-back? Theoretically, easily possible.

But I'm pretty sure the St Louis Blues aren't going to be having any of that in their building.

If it is Kansas City, I'd really like to see them host the Men's and Women's tournaments at the same time (with the Women at the Municipal Aud). For those fans who's teams may bow out early, it might give them an incentive to stay in town, watch the women, and continue to be general spectators in the later rounds of the men's tournament. Have the women start a day later, with the play in games the day of the men's quarters. Then have a morning session of women's quarters, the men's semifinals in the afternoon, and another session of women's quarters in the evening.

The Big XII has done something like this in the past, I'm not sure if they still do.

They should just keep it in STL. I believe this announcement will be a new sponsor, that their going to switch the men's and women's weekend, and that their changing tv rights

Question 1: "Why was this called an historic announcement?"

What a waste of energy. The league just continues to try to make itself look and sound irrelevant and small-time.

I love STL, but I think a change may have helped the league. Elgin clearly took the path of least resistance considering the league's presence in the city already. It doesn't seem like he wanted to stick his neck out too far on this one.

I really do hope they got a good financial deal from St. Louis, cause they aren't getting any more of my money.

It's hard to take anyone seriously when they tout "the transformation of Union Station" in some sort of positive fashion.
