You keep saying double. I don't think you know what that word means.

Where are you seeing/hearing this 10-15K stuff? Or any expanded seating at all for that matter?

You're not "going to see it" anywhere.

It's still very much in the "sources" stages.

As I've said, repeatedly to you at this point, there are some things it's very dependent that need to be ironed out and finalized. It's still in a stage where things could change dramatically. It is, however, past the "Hey, what about this" stage of discussions.

Creighton AD believes if Big East decides to expand to 12 teams Gonzaga and WSU would be logical fits. They are discussing expansion in May at their meetings.

I believe the Creighton AD is full of crap.

Gonzaga isn't going to join a conference where the closest team in over 1500 miles away. They enjoy the institutional fit that the WCC provides.

The Priest isn't bringing in any public schools. No Wichita, no VCU.

If they expand, they'll look at SLU (market), Richmond, Dayton (X might veto). They may consider a couple of others as well, but I'm not going to look into all of the east coast privates and see who's where and are they Catholic or not. I know Catholic isn't a 100% requirement, but pretty sure private is.

Then Norte Dame should not have gone into the ACC. It would have fit better for them. Private school, Mid East location. Football could have remained independent.

Football is still independent

So in reading all this discussion, I assume in five years UNI will probably be in the Big 10? It's amazing how delusional some people can become because of one extremely good basketball coach.

He said the discussion might be about five minutes. That would be 30 seconds of him floating the idea of Wichita and Gonzaga and 4 1/2 minutes of the other 9 schools laughing.

If the Big East expands to 12 the additions will be from the pool of SLU, St. Joe's, Dayton, Valpo, Duquense, George Washington, La Salle, St. Bonaventure, or Richmond. And heavy money on 2 of the first 4 in that list.

The list of options would be very, very small for the Big East:

One of Dayton or St Louis (depending on how important duplicate markets are and if St Louis can re-establish a baseline)
One of Richmond or maybe a Boston-area school (market-based add; good basketball would help)

Wichita's only hope: root for UConn to drop football. They'll break the public/private seal on the conference, and Wichita can outplay St Louis and Dayton for that spot.
