Eric Hamilton will be taking prep year at Sunrise Christian.

Sunrise Christian is a prep school about 5 miles from the WSU campus. Sunrise consistently puts most of their players on upper-level D1 teams - typically teams in the Power 5 conferences.

Last year the Shox placed Zach Brown, one of last year's top recruits, at Sunrise, where the 6'6" Brown was the PG on a team that played about half their games against Kansas Juco teams. Brown not only remained committed to WSU, but also brought along his roommate, 6'10", 237 Rauno Nurger.

This year's (probable) top recruit was Eric Hamilton. Hamilton was a second-tier national recruit. He wasn't recruited by Kansas, UNC, Kentucky, or Duke, but he was on about every list of the schools just below that level.

Hamilton is expected to - and says he will - sign another LoI in November. Of course, Teddy Hawkins said the same thing, but we have less reason to question Hamilton's chracter or honesty.

Hamilton has a strong relationship with coach Heirer, similar to Hawkins relationship with Ford. I would assume that so long as Herier is at WSU, so to will Eric Hamilton.
