They're just trying to catch up to their rivals in the arrest column.

Looks like Taylor has a stress fracture as well. Hopefully that won't be an issue on e the season rolls around.

Ron Baker missed most of his Fr season due to a stress fracture.

Stress fractures can be nasty to heal. A "normal" fracture goes across a bone. It's not a complete break, so the length that needs to heal is (generally) less than the width of the bone. A stress fracture goes along the length of the bone, so the length that needs to heal can be significantly greater than that of a "normal" fracture.

The time lost depends on the location of the stress fracture. Joel Embiid was pegged to be the #1 pick in the NBA draft until he got a stress fracture in his back. Granted, he had another injury later, but a stress fracture in the spine is considered a possibly serious and dangerous injury.

WSU was plagued with stress fractures a few years back. It was because the basketball court (before the renovation of the arena) was worn out and had no bounce or give. It was like landing on a piece of concrete, and the players were getting injured from the ungiving floor.

As I understand it, basketball courts have a cushioning layer beneath the wood. If that layer wears out, playing on it extensively can result in leg injuries.

We haven't had an arrest this year yet that's an improvement :)

Josh Cunningham to have knee surgery to repair a tear in his meniscus ligament but is expected to be ready before the season starts. Xzavier Taylor expected to be out 5-6 weeks with a stress fracture in his right foot.

That's very disappointing to hear about Barnes. He should miss a few games or more depending on the facts and we're not good enough to overlook any opponent.

The Cunningham and Taylor injuries aren't that consequential assuming they're handled properly. We might need Cunningham to start for us out of the gate with Barnes possibly on suspension so I suppose it's valuable missed practice time for a guy we'll be leaning on early.

Meniscus clean up wouldn't worry me as a fan. That is quick and easy. Stress fracture would worry me though because it could potentially linger.

Mike Shaw is also injured. He has a knee injury but not serious. Hopefully BU will have all the injuries before the season starts. Also an update on Auston Barnes. Nothing has been decided. I would be shocked if this is anything more than a 2-3 game suspension at the most.
