Yes, the subsidies would be the student fees and government funding, which amount in total to just over $6 million.

But what I think is even more indicative of WSU's financial strength is the $17 million that you make in straight up revenue that doesn't come from student fees, the government, or the institution's general fund. Of the public schools in the MVC, UNI makes the second most at about $9 million, with SIU, ISUr, and MSU making around $7 million.

That says something about WSU's financial strength and marketing power, because it's not like the others are doing poorly (other than Ind St). WSU's athletic financials are just that good.
