Yep. Freshman of the Year isn't an award WSU players are going to win under Marshall.
This is an award for teams with a good freshman that will rely on that freshman heavily.

I'm not saying he'll win, but Lohaus played awesome today. If he gets that many minutes all season he could be in the discussion.

I was impressed all the way around. Quality win for the panthers and the league.

I didn't see the game, but there was more than one complimentary post about his play on shockernet. Looking forward to seeing him for myself!

Wyatt just knows how to play the game, plain and simple. He is going to have a tremendous 4 years at UNI.

Shaq Morris might actually belong at the top of this list soon. Two games against NCAA tournament caliber teams and he has performed far and away better than any freshman on this list. That's been a huge surprise so far.
I haven't kept up with every Valley team yet, but Shaq is #1 and Lohaus #2 on my incredibly early personal list so far.

I think Loyola has a good freshman as well, but he has only played against D-II competition.

On a per 40 basis, only Lohaus, Timmer, Morris, and Caroline would be averaging double figures. Others will improve their numbers as they get more accustomed to D-I basketball.
