Exhibit A as to why MSU is 1-3 vs. DI competition.

I do agree that he is a tremendous offensive player off to an unbelievable start to the season.

We can probably scratch Marshall off this list. Sorry Bear fans, I promise that's one of the last digs I take.

By the way, couldn't decide if this were more appropriate here or the UNI-WSU thread. Seth Tuttle has racked up some nice accolades after this weekend:

CBS Player of the Week--http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/25017281/cbssportscom-player-of-the-week-northern-iowas-seth-tuttle

Andy Katz's Player of the Week--http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=12263158&ex_cid=espnapi_public

IMO Baker has it until he either forgets to play basketball or the Shockers do not win the MVC. I do think Tuttle has a decent case though. Fred isn't far behind either. This is going to be an interesting race to the finish...
[Insert snappy comeback]

Agreed. I think it comes down to who wins the conference. If UNI wins outright, then Tuttle. If WSU wins outright, then Baker.

If the two teams finish tied for first, it is anyone's guess. Probably a razor thin edge to Tuttle in that scenario since FVV, Cotton and possibly Carter may siphon off votes from Baker.

I think Tuttle just about locked up POY on Saturday.

Game. Set. Season.

Can we start a thread about next year's POY since it's already been decided?

Tuttle: 15.8 PPG 6.7 RPG .615 FG% .407 3P% .752 FT% 3.0 APG
Baker: 16.0 PPG 4.0 RPG .454 FG% .401 3P% .763 FT% 2.2 APG

Baker has a very narrow edge in points and FT% but Tuttle beats him in every single other category. Tuttle also DOMINATED in the biggest game of the year for both teams.

Let's be real here with 8 games left nothing is locked up for any team or any individual at this point.

Lots of basketball to be played, but he did give himself the inside lane for this one.

Tuttle is absolutely the POY if the season ended today. There is a LOT of bball to be played yet, but to this point, he has been the best player. Hard to argue against it IMO.

POY will come from the team that wins the MVC regular season championship.

Talk about cherry picking.

A 6-4 SG (Baker) has 3 more blocked shots than a 6-9 post player.
When you talk about assists, you should mention Baker has a 2-1 A-TO ratio, Tuttle is 1-1.
Baker also has 9 more steals.

Now, scoring is a push, I'm surprised Tuttle gets only 6.7 boards a game. A little light for a post stud IMO. Baker's 4 RPG is pretty good for a SG/PG. Tuttle definitely get a nod in FG% at 61% vs. 45% for Baker. If Baker would be at 50% in FG% that would be the equivalent to 61% due to the position difference. 3FG% and FT% is a push. Baker gets a big nod in blocks. No way should a post player be out-blocked by 3 vs. a SG/PG. Assists (A-TO ratio) is about a push. You would expect a SG/PG to have a better ratio.

Pretty even to me. Yes, Tuttle had an exceptional game vs. WSU on Saturday. A news flash however, there are still 8 games left (including at WSU for UNI), so saying Tuttle has it about wrapped up is is pretty short-sided on your part. Back away from the kool-aid for awhile Kyle.
