I'll admit to being a homer and voting for Tuttle in this poll back in October. Who was the other brave soul?

Baker has a very narrow edge in points and FT% but Tuttle beats him in every single other category. Tuttle also DOMINATED in the biggest game of the year for both teams.

Talk about cherry picking.

A 6-4 SG (Baker) has 3 more blocked shots than a 6-9 post player.
When you talk about assists, you should mention Baker has a 2-1 A-TO ratio, Tuttle is 1-1.
Baker also has 9 more steals.

Now, scoring is a push, I'm surprised Tuttle gets only 6.7 boards a game. A little light for a post stud IMO. Baker's 4 RPG is pretty good for a SG/PG. Tuttle definitely get a nod in FG% at 61% vs. 45% for Baker. If Baker would be at 50% in FG% that would be the equivalent to 61% due to the position difference. 3FG% and FT% is a push. Baker gets a big nod in blocks. No way should a post player be out-blocked by 3 vs. a SG/PG. Assists (A-TO ratio) is about a push. You would expect a SG/PG to have a better ratio.

Pretty even to me. Yes, Tuttle had an exceptional game vs. WSU on Saturday. A news flash however, there are still 8 games left (including at WSU for UNI), so saying Tuttle has it about wrapped up is is pretty short-sided on your part. Back away from the kool-aid for awhile Kyle.

He posted the cumulative statistics from all the major stat categories, and THATS cherry picking? lol, come on man. Its the very opposite.

When you start spouting off POY shat, you better go deeper than that. Pretty much stats 101 protocol for those that are knowledgable.

So does this mean if Baker shoots 5/5 for the game he actually make 6 shots?

If it is down to Tuttle and Baker, it will be interesting to hear the opinions of other team's fans, especially those who's teams have faced the Panthers and Shockers twice. I think Drake will be the first, after this Saturday's game, right?

I'm curious. Did the regular season end 2 days ago? Is there not a return trip to Wichita left to play?

If you wanna argue about the race as it pertains to right now, I'd listen to what you have to say about Tuttle having the scales tipped into his favor. However, to say the award is already locked up is pretty comical and shows you still have a little too much adrenaline still running through your veins after Saturday's monumental win.

If UNI wins, it's Tuttle's. If UNI ties, it's probably Tuttle's. UNI should feel very good about that today.

This is one of the better and closer races for POY in memory. 2 very good players both in the spotlight on their respective top 15 teams.

Personally I was leaning towards Baker most of the year. As most probably know I'm a big fan of his all around game. There's just not anything he doesn't do well. But if I was picking now I'd go with Tuttle.

The more I've watched Tuttle this year more impressive he's become. He was good last year. This year he has just totally dominated in the post just about every UNI game I've watched. Because of that dominance I'd go with Tuttle this year even if WSU wins the league title.

First Team:

Baker
Tuttle
VanVleet
Balentine
Mock

Second Team:

Beane
Knight
Brown
Carter
Cotton

I probably have a WSU bias on my second team.
