Select the player that you believe will be named the 2014-15 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year for men's basketball.

Last year our users selected Cleanthony Early of Wichita State as the POY, but it was teammate Fred VanVleet who took home the Larry Bird award.

Should Doyle be removed from consideration in light of his torn Labrum? I suppose not, but I don't see it as realistic.

I wasn't going to add Doyle, but figured I would in the event that he improved enough to not require surgery and might play during the conference season.

Ron Baker is the best player in the Valley, with VanVleet a close second, and DJ third. That, of course, is my humble opinion.

In no particular order:

VanVleet: Best PG on the best team. Biggest competitor/winner. Best intangibles.

Tuttle: Senior. Best player on a good team. Most dominate offensive big man in the Valley. Most well rounded big man.

Balentine: Most prolific scorer.

Marshall: Best player on a good team.

Cotton: Senior. Best defender in the Valley. Has some offense.

Baker: Most dominate player at his position.

Beane: Good offensively and defensively. Almost as good as Baker.

Doyle: Injured

Leaving off the new-comers, Smith, Lynch and Mock are dark horses that could develop into dominate players this year.

I'd be very surprised if it isn't one of the wichita st trio. I voted for Baker out of them

It was a coin toss. I went with FVV over Baker.
